Gobble Gobble

Today was the first shoot that the weather was a little chilly to be outside. The crisp fall air didn't stop me from getting some fantastic shots of the Lucero family. We may have had to bribe little Cecilia with M&M's but hey whatever works right? I think we still managed to get some cutie shots of her and her adorable smile. Her pretty red Santa dress was glittering in the sun and reminding me that the Holiday Season is almost upon us!

What an adorable family, all festive for the holidays.
Her dress was just too cute not to highlight.

As they walked away from me to end the photo shoot, Cecilia looked back at me and stuck out her tongue. Ha!

Fall Family Shoot

The sun continues to shine on Virgina this fall, and temps are in the 50's and 60's making a perfect setting for weekend photo shoots. This past weekend was no different, as I headed out to Hollywood, MD to do a family shoot with the Waters, old friends who I hadn't seen in years. It was the perfect opportunity to meet their children who were just a ball of energy and so fun to take photos of. Highlights of the shoot are below:
Mom and Son, what a cute little smile.
I asked Eoin to play in the leaves, he did so obligingly, and it made for some pretty fun photos.
Little Wren was such a dollbaby! So precious in her big red xmas bow.
And though Alex was pretty shy with me in front of the camera, I managed to capture so pretty sweet moments of him as well.

So nice to see this big happy family.
I believe Mike refers to this as "Baby Bench Press," super cute!

All in all another fantastic way to spend a day, outdoors, with old friends and lots of smiling faces!

Great Day at Great Falls!

I continue to say that the best part of this job is to be a part of people's moments. I feel so lucky to be welcomed into peoples lives and share their fun times together outside. It's like being a part of someones family just for the day!

I met with the Crawfords early on Sunday Morning at Great Falls Park in McLean. The weather was absolutely perfect, and despite the fact that the sun was playing shadow games with the trees I think we were able to capture some great family moments!

Maggie was a little shy at first, but she warmed up later in the day to reveal her great smile!
Who doesn't remember being a kid and walking hand in hand with Mom and Dad... ahhhh!
This family photo ended up being one of my favorites of the day. Great smiles from Mom and Dad and just utter happiness from little Maggie.
Maggie was playing hide and seek with Mom and Dad she looked up at one point and I was able to capture her beautiful eyes and smile! By far my favorite photo of the day.
I was happy at least a few trees had some color on them so we could get the feeling of Fall in the shots!
Maggie peeking around a rock and thinking real hard ended up being a real keeper shot of the day, she's too cute for words.

All in all it was a great day. I can't say enough how truly lucky I am to be on this journey, and getting to spend time doing a job that doesn't feel like work at all.

Special thanks to the Crawford Family for letting me be a part of their day outdoors!
